Today Pope Leo XIV visited Istanbul’s Armenian Patriarchal Church of the Holy Mother of God, the oldest Armenian Apostolic cathedral in Turkey built in 1391. He prayed at the historic church and thanked God for the courageous Christian witness of the Armenian people throughout history, often in the face of tragedy.
