Confirmed: Critically-acclaimed and internationally renowned detective drama, Endeavour, returns to ITV1 for the ninth and final series. Three-part series starts Sunday 26 February at 8pm

Endeavour has been one of the best series around. So dreading the end. I wish, there was more and more to come. Excellent cast, great stories, love for detail, atmosphere of intensity and tension.

@EndeavourTV Can’t wait, please let it be the ending that it deserves.

Can we please now have a limited edition Blu-Ray set of the complete Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour?

The Remorseful Day 💔. How very fitting to link it to the last episode of Inspector Morse. ‘Thank Lewis for me’.

@EndeavourTV Only three episodes?!? 😭💔 Impatiently waiting in the US! @masterpiecepbs #endeavourpbs

@EndeavourTV Think I’ll take the Jaguar for a spin, whilst whistling the theme tune!

Bittersweet news, @EndeavourTV has been outstanding and a credit to all involved.

@EndeavourTV I don’t think I can cope with the final episode, and I probably won’t be able to watch it. So sad to know that it’s ending.

@All_Allam We get it here in Australia after the UK. Both happy and sad at this. It's been a Brilliant Series. I've totally loved all of it. I've watched Morse and Lewis many times. Bravo to everyone involved!!! 💖💖

Hurrah!! But sad that it's probably the end of any version of Morse on our screens Matey!!

@EndeavourTV Not happy this show is ending. Going to miss it very much

Another entry on the SkyQ menu.

Hooray🎉 but the Final series😫

@chewytheleftie @stage_manager ARGH! It’s happening. Not sure I can cope… 😭

@ScriptULike You beautiful man. I know this will be special. Thank you @mammothscreen

This drama went 'off' when Colin Dexter sadly passed away. The storylines and direction of this drama couldn't match his 'genius'. #Endeavour

@EndeavourTV 💖

@All_Allam watching it all again now to get ready - had forgotten how many times I yelled at the TV: LEAVE THURSDAY ALOOONE!

@EndeavourTV Espero un final magnífico para esta serie tan estupenda. El gran equipo reunido lo conseguirá.

Someone should tell @masterpiecepbs about this!

Why end it? It can go on for so many more years?

When does @ABCTV get it please?

@All_Allam Excellent news -that it’s returning, not that it’s the final series.

Yipppppeeeeeeeee

@EndeavourTV Only 3 ?! 😭😭

Great

Terrific Bloody hope he has some happiness in this series apart from listening to opera, I know Morse had good reason to be morose, but ffs!

But when will it be on PBS?

@EndeavourTV I am extremely upset and devastated endeavour drama the bestest show on tv I hold shaun Evans totally responsible roger Allan actor is as far better actor and my favourite actor james Bradshaw actor dbryn he makes the show I absolutely love the full cast and crew .

@EndeavourTV 👏👏👏😊😊😊😊😊. Fantastic news.

Is there any way to watch this in France?! (So frustrating to have to wait until it's out on DVD.) An extraordinary series with superb writing, cast, and crew. Will be sorely missed, and certainly the ending will be a classic.

Excellent :)
