We've gotten the DMR without a scope, DMR without a scope with a scope. So is this the DMR but fast, followed by the DMR but fast but slow?

Even if it is a new weapon, why the heck have we gotten 2 new weapons ever and they are both human weapons with not dissimilar roles to other weapons?
