When the country that is supposed to project strength and security around the globe has two mass shootings per day and the worst crime rate among peer nations….do you really believe that it has the capacity to keep the rest of the world safe? Think about that for just a moment. 🤔

Zakaria mouths standard western talking points like “no change of borders by force”… ignores West’s undermining of Russia’s security by expanding NATO’s borders eastwards since collapse of USSR. Russian reaction is then deemed as “aggression” & “illegal”.

It's a kleptocracy, headed by Putin, whose only offer to Russian people, from whom they're stealing, is that they'll provide security against a threat. Now, it follows that for that prospectus to continue, there needs to be a threat. He needs to be in a state of constant conflict with the West in order to justify his own position. So I don't think, absent genuine incentives, that Putin changes.
