Confounding answer from Lexi and subsequent reaction from the US side. It was one of the pivotal moments of the entire day and somehow that's off limits?

@BobHarig Stacy saying “that’s a terrible question” is wild. It was the biggest moments of the afternoon matches.

She’s had some historically dubious meltdowns and that was the biggest momentum shift moment of the day. An obligatory question. It was THE question.

Long history of skipping media availability, as you know. So tired of the kid gloves approach with Lexi. The shared representation with Bryson makes total sense in how they both approach it all.

Terrible answer. Next time, it’ll be worded “Walk us through your shank.”

Just have to add—as a friend of the program pointed out, Megan Rapinoe missed a PK to seal a loss for 🇺🇸, soccer’s equivalent to a shank, on a MASSIVE stage. She was asked about it, and talked candidly about it. I imagine that approach is more endearing.

"Pretty much impossible" Good lord 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Opposite of Hovland who said” I suck at chipping” after dumping one. Much prefer the Hovland answer

Is it really that weird to be defensive when you’ve historically struggled with grainy tight lie chips? I don’t think she responded in the *perfect* way but he’s asking her to hash out her worst shot of the day 😬😂

There's a difference between defensiveness and outright contempt. And then the mic picking up Stacy saying "that's a terrible question" was really bad. I understand sticking up for your player, but just don't bring her up there if it's like that.

She’s got the yips.. this isn’t her 1 st duff, shove, shank from a tight lie.

Lol no shit Stu. Also makes the question even more relevant 😂
