Congrats to Jacob deGrom for becoming the second fastest pitcher in MLB history to reach 2,000 career strikeouts! 👏 (via @Geico #BallparkCam)

@GEICO He’s 37. Are we really calling that fast?

@GEICO Nah, you said fastest ever.

@GEICO To go along with his whopping 104 wins over 13 seasons!

@GEICO 2,000 strike-outs, and somehow the camera man still found the biggest whiff in the stadium 😂😂😂

@GEICO He needed two for the milestone and got 10. The slider ended 7 of them.

@GEICO Degrominator 👏🏽

@GEICO I will always miss him on the Mets, bets pitchers I’ve ever seen in my lifetime

@GEICO Should of been as a Met...shame

@GEICO The saddest thing that the punch 2000, gave it to our Boricua

@GEICO Impressive rate, but durability matters too. How many more innings did the fastest pitcher throw?

@GEICO Would have been the first if not for all the injuries. Dude has always had filthy stuff

@GEICO Congratulations!!👏

@GEICO Love it's

@GEICO 13 years to 2,000 strikeouts.

@GEICO Your math is ridiculous. Second fastest? Nearly 13 full seasons. Clayton Kershaw hit 2,000 Ks in the middle of his 10th season, and had over 135 wins by then. Jacob has won only 105 games over a much longer period.

@GEICO only 5000 more to pass the GOAT

@GEICO Not among the fastest.

@GEICO Wish he was still a met

@GEICO At 38 years old?

@GEICO At age 38!
