@1EthiopiaTekdem @afreximbank Unfortunately most African big men do not know the basic needs of their country and people. They give priority to build palaces, parks and other superficial things. That is why those undemocratic nations of Africa still are begging the west for food aid. Africa deserves better.

@afreximbank You are as criminal as Abiy is. You walking freely and living a lavish lifestyle when the nation is suffering at the hands of u and Abiy. SHAME ON YOU .

Our borders must become bridges. With intra-African trade at just 15% vs 67% in Europe, we're leaving enormous economic potential untapped. Watch my vision for how the AfDB can transform Africa's trade landscape and create millions of jobs through regional integration.

Arriving in Lomé, I witnessed firsthand the frustration African travellers still face navigating intra-African travel restrictions and visa-on-arrival processes. In my opening remarks, I spoke candidly about this challenge… if Africa wants to trade more, attract investment, and strengthen regional value chains, Africans must be able to move more freely across Africa. H.E. President Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBÉ responded with decisive leadership. Today, Togo has announced the removal of visa requirements for all African citizens🌍 This is A BIG WIN for regional integration and a strong signal of the Africa we are building, one that is more connected, more competitive, and more open for business. Because to trade together, we must first welcome one another🌍🌍🌍🎯 #WeMove🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🎯🌍 #HMIndustryTradeInvestment #FMITI

What we launched in Abidjan was more than a product—it was a statement. At the Africa CEO Forum, I joined SPIRO to unveil the Davido Collectible and Alpha+—electric bikes designed with purpose, built for Africa, by Africans. Kayodé Yajaur and I crafted every detail to merge culture with engineering—because when we ride, we represent. With support from African Export-Import Bank - Afreximbank, this vision is scaling fast: local factories, smart tech across West and East Africa, and clean energy built on African soil. I also spoke on a powerful panel about the creative economy—on why IP, ownership, and brand power are the future. Our culture isn’t a trend—it’s capital. Big love to Gagan Gupta, Stanislav Piroev, and the Africa CEO Forum for turning vision into movement. #AfricaCEOForum #5ive #DavidoCollectible #AlphaPlus #SpiroAfrica #Afreximbank #ElectricAfrica #MadeInAfrica #CreativePower #IPIsWealth #AfricaToTheWorld

On this #AfricaDay, we commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), now the African Union (AU), established on May 25, 1963. The 2025 AU Theme of the Year, “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations,” underscores our collective pursuit of justice, dignity, and healing. This theme aims to develop a Common African Position on Reparations, establish an African Reparatory Programme of Action, and strengthen collaboration with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the global African diaspora through a Joint Mechanism on Reparations . These efforts are crucial in ensuring that Africans and people of African descent receive justice in tangible and transformative ways . #YearofReparations
