Look while Hama is clearly in the wrong, i genuinely fail to understand why katara doesn’t use blood bending. How is it any less preferable or “morally wrong” to using Water to beat your opponent to hell and back or freeze them solid. Blood bending is simply more efficient.

Hama was well written. The fact that she only wanted to pass on her knowledge down to Katara at any cost was just powerful. Especially after she saw how powerful Katara really was when she instead of redirecting or dodging her attack . She stood her ground like an earth bender!

The build up here is so good, that previous prison episode is excellent. The build up hurts and is complete whiplash because she finds out the one person she feels she can confide in, because of their shared culture, and even learn from turns out simply be wicked...
