Attack on Ambati Rambabu shows complete collapse of law and order: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Tadepalli, Jan 31: Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has strongly condemned the murder attempt on senior YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu, holding Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directly responsible for the growing violence and lawlessness in the state. Taking to X, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked whether attacks and murder attempts have become the answer to anyone who dares to question the failures and conspiracies of the ruling regime. He said Chandrababu’s conspiracy using the Tirumala laddu prasadam had completely collapsed after reports from premier national institutions NDDB and NDRI exposed the falsehoods. Unable to digest the truth coming out, Chandrababu has now resorted to violence through his goons, he alleged. YS Jagan said that instead of apologising for hurting the sentiments of crores of devotees across the country and the world, Chandrababu Naidu is trying to divert attention by encouraging attacks on YSRCP leaders. As part of this strategy, a murder attempt was carried out on Ambati Rambabu, who has been consistently questioning the failures and wrongdoings of the government. He stated that TDP goons attacked Ambati Rambabu with sticks and iron rods, while the police failed miserably to provide protection. He stated that the attack was carried out under the directions of Chandrababu Naidu himself, and that the police behaved as silent spectators, as if they were guarding the attackers instead of stopping them. This is extremely dangerous and alarming, he said. YS Jagan further said that after the lab reports exposed the laddu ghee propaganda, the ruling party resorted to installing defamatory flexis and spreading false campaigns, and also instigated attacks on YSRCP leaders including Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Vidadala Rajini and Bolla Brahmanayudu. Targeting Ambati Rambabu with a murder attempt clearly reflects Chandrababu Naidu’s authoritarian and violent mindset, he said. He warned that repeated attacks on senior YSRCP leaders show how Andhra Pradesh has turned into a “jungle raj”, where law, justice and constitutional values have no meaning. He demanded immediate intervention by the Governor to stop the deteriorating situation in the state. YS Jagan also demanded strict action against officials responsible for failing to prevent the attacks, including the DGP ( Andhra Pradesh Police ), Guntur DIG and SP. He urged the Centre to provide adequate security to YSRCP leaders and said the party’s MPs will submit a representation to the Union Home Ministry seeking immediate intervention. YS Jagan announces Rs 5 lakh support to families of deceased students; demands government compensation of twenty-five lakh each Visakhapatnam, October 9: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that five lakh rupees would be given on behalf of YSR Congress Party to the families of the two girl students who lost their lives due to the jaundice outbreak in Kurupam. He also demanded that the state government extend a compensation of twenty-five lakh rupees to each of the deceased students’ families. Speaking to the media after interacting with the students undergoing treatment for jaundice at KGH Hospital in Visakhapatnam, YS Jagan said sixty-five students from the same school were admitted to KGH after traveling nearly 200 kilometers from Kurupam, which shows the gravity of the situation. In all, around 170 students were affected by jaundice, with the outbreak caused by severe water contamination due to feces mixing with the drinking water supply. YS Jagan demanded that the government immediately take responsibility, restore and repair the mineral water plant in the hostel, fix sanitation facilities including bathrooms, and ensure proper treatment for all affected students. He stressed that one lakh rupees compensation must also be given to each of the 170 students who fell ill. Calling the incident a medico-legal case, YS Jagan said YSRCP would approach the courts if necessary to secure justice for the tribal students. Criticizing the government for attempting to cover up the issue, YS Jagan expressed shock that even the Home Minister denied water contamination as the cause. “If jaundice did not spread due to contaminated water, then how did 170 children from the same school suffer from it?” he asked, adding that denying the truth and telling lies will not help the government escape responsibility.
