It's an exciting moment for Sizewell B nuclear power station. We’ve signed Heads of Terms with the UK Government, setting out the key principles for an agreement that would enable Sizewell B to continue generating reliable, low-carbon electricity until at least 2055. This 20‑year lifetime extension beyond the original shutdown date of 2035 is a vote of confidence in our people, their skills and the role nuclear plays in strengthening the UK’s energy security and powering an electric Britain. And demonise people that only trying to get here to live a better life" "The biggest issue here is that we have had 14 years of a Conservative government that has basically failed to invest in the infrastructure" "The Tories let the infrastructure that the previous Labour government had built to the point where we had an incredible NHS.. Credible schools.. Etc.. And now every piece of our government has failed over the last 14 years" "We need to give this government a chance.. They've been in 11 weeks and we need to allow them to make the changes.. To turn this oil tanker around.. Because it's going to take a number of years to get this right" "And if they don't do it, at the end of the day, they won't be in power i five years time"
