We're also going to be coming out later today with an advanced notice of proposed rule making. We intend to set clear rules of the road for this new asset class and these new markets.

A number of states do view prediction markets, particularly sports prediction markets, as potentially invasive to the tax regimes they have with the existing casino and online sports betting lobby, which is a mixture of commercial enterprises and also tribal enterprises." "I do think that's a very interesting fight. On the one hand you've got, this is a federal futures contract or a swap, which should be CFTC regulated. Some of the states are like, this is sports betting, we should have jurisdiction over it, we should have a claim to taxes on it."
