Our EAM was saying that PM Modi and President Trump didn't talk for the last 2 months. However, the American Vice President did talk to Modi ji. On 10th May, 5.25 PM, Trump wrote on social media that after a long night of talks mediated by the US, he was pleased to announce that India and Pakistan had agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. Soon after that, at 5.37 PM, the US Secretary of State said that the two countries agreed to a ceasefire. This was followed by the Pakistani foreign minister confirming that a ceasefire had indeed been agreed to. Only at around 6 PM did our Foreign Secretary give the statement about the ceasefire. If the ceasefire happened without the intervention of Trump, why doesn't the GoI inform the nation in clear words? This is a clear intervention of a third party in India's affairs. It's All Much Worse Than I Thought The corporate media are all-in on government censorship Over the last three years, we have come to learn of the role that our own government officials have played in demanding censorship by social media platforms. Some of this censorship was overt, particularly as it related to COVID. However, some of it was also done in secrecy, as we discovered in the Twitter Files. Many of us thought that once we had uncovered the censorship, governments would be sufficiently embarrassed to stop doing it. And to some extent, that has been the case. But now, governments around the world are stepping up their efforts to demand more censorship. Last week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation quietly announced it had resumed its outreach to social media companies. Scotland’s Police could even investigate comedians under a new hate speech law if someone complains about a joke. Major media outlets are currently working with government-funded censorship activists at the University of Washington and Stanford Internet Observatory to demand greater censorship in the name of “saving Democracy.” Without a doubt, those of us who have uncovered censorship have had an impact. On “60 Minutes” last Sunday, the government-funded advocates of censorship at the University of Washington said they have stopped demanding censorship of social media platforms. Simply drawing awareness to who is demanding censorship and who is funding them has weakened their power. But governments, government-funded NGOs, and the news media have been relentless in their demands for a crackdown on speech they deem hateful and false. At the Supreme Court last week, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson expressed unironic concern that the First Amendment restricts the government’s ability to censor. And everyone from the New Yorker to the New York Times to NBC is suggesting that the only people who are worried about government censorship are Trump supporters, which is obviously false. The 60 Minutes segment was particularly shocking. Lesly Stahl never mentioned the mass censorship of accurate information about COVID’S origins, COVID vaccines, and lockdowns. She falsely suggested that shining a light on the censorship activists was tantamount to persecution. And she suggested that if the government didn’t do more to censor misinformation, Trump supporters would overthrow the government, which is a form of disinformation aimed at scaring people into giving up our first and most fundamental freedom. The delay in calling of the tenders for the Orange Line from JP Nagar to Kempapura showcases the neglect of the Siddaramaiah govt towards mass mobility. Within 100 days of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s coming to power in 2024, DPR was approved. Yet, it took about 1.5 years for the state government to call for the civil work tenders. The inefficiency of BMRCL should not be a reason for increasing fares and burdening commuters. Instead of increasing fares again to compensate for losses, BMRCL should explore non-fare box revenue options and utilise its stations as per Transit Oriented Development plans.

I am sure she ‘knew’ the certain answer before but not any more. This miserable situation reveals two fundamental things: First, the foreign-funded NGOs have no values or positions of their own, let alone the societal values that they vow to represent. They are ready to adapt to any donor agenda, even if it requires their cardinal volte-face. Second, through many years of lavish foreign funding, a cohort of politically organized lobbyists of foreign interests formed, which suppressed and eventually replaced the genuine civil society. Now, instead of being a social force that glues the society together, some richly funded NGOs “serve to destabilize world peace by promoting ideas in foreign countries that are directly inverse to harmonious and stable relations internal to and among countries,” as stated in the U.S. President’s executive order on ‘Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid.’ There are encouraging signs that the new U.S. Administration tires to face the challenge and to turn the pseudo-aid into an extended hand of mutual friendship.
