Dalwai also claimed that Eknath Shinde wanted to join Congress. I have no information about Shinde, but there is truth to the claim about Munde. Around 2011-12, Munde had differences with then BJP president Nitin Gadkari and was considering leaving the party. Vilasrao Deshmukh mediated, and the BJP leadership eventually persuaded Munde to stay. This is the difference between the BJP and Congress.
