ED raids have been carried out against several Congress leaders including Rahul ji across the country, and Congress has been among the most affected parties. Yet, nowhere have Congress workers attacked ED officials. The latest incidents involving CPM workers once again raise serious questions about their commitment to the rule of law. Ironically, the ED action appears to have re-energised sections of the CPM cadre who had remained subdued following a historic electoral setback. It was an honour to stand with the Hindu community today, and I am proud of the thousands of people who came out in Toronto to send a message to the world. We see the genocidal violence from Jamaat e Islami/Muslim Brotherhood groups in Bangladesh, and we know that this ideology is also here in Canada.
