Connectivity restored. The temporary access road between Chimney Rock and Bat Cave is now complete after months of reconstruction following #HeleneNC. The new, temporary road makes it possible for permanent repairs to be made with minimal impact on local traffic.

Following the inspection, Nekundi revealed that reconstruction of the bridge will take approximately seven months. He also announced that he would issue a policy directive for the emergency procurement process to be followed to expedite the repairs.
