Instead, it accidentally makes the STRONGEST case for his approach to the Canada–U.S. relationship: Canada should negotiate, but Canada should never accept a bad deal just so we can claim a deal was signed. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Rempel-Garner of Oklahoma fundamentally misunderstands what negotiation is. 😌 Canada has repeatedly made calculated moves to keep talks alive while protecting our leverage and Canadian interests. Original deal: Canada keeps 100% of the tolls until we are made whole. Carney just signed away half the net profits to a U.S.-controlled fund. Plus gave the Americans a veto on toll increases. If this is the pattern — Gordie Howe, CUSMA, and every other “deal” that never materializes — Canadians are finally getting a clear look at Mark Carney. Just another Liberal. Lots of big promises. And when the results fall short, it’s always someone else’s fault. This is the litmus test. And the results are already in.
