The choice in the Aberdeen South by-election is clear… 👍 The pro-UK, pro-oil and gas Scottish Conservatives candidate Douglas Lumsden. 👎 Or the anti-everything SNP.

Today at DPMQs, Shadow Energy Secretary Claire Coutinho made it clear why the Aberdeen South by-election is so important. The by-election in Makerfield is about one man’s job. But Aberdeen South is about thousands of people’s jobs. A vote for Conservative Douglas Lumsden tomorrow, is a vote to stand up for North Sea workers, protect our energy security, and back the people who power our country. Meanwhile Labour and the SNP are more interested in hammering the industry, leaving the people of Aberdeen to pay the price. It’s time to send the SNP and Labour a message. Vote Douglas Lumsden.

Conservatives have won control of Aberdeen South from the SNP - the Tories' first Scottish by-election gain since 1967. Speaking in Aberdeen, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said her party's victory there means they "have won [the] referendum on oil and gas".

Scotland’s energy wealth should work for Scotland. The SNP will always stand up for keeping Scotland’s resources in Scotland’s hands, not letting Westminster, Farage or the Tories take the benefit. On Thursday 18 June, vote SNP in the Aberdeen South by-election.

Westminster has treated Aberdeen and Scotland as an afterthought, and squandered £400bn of our energy wealth. Scotland can do so much better. In Aberdeen South, vote SNP, and vote Richard Thomson, on 18th June.

“There’s been one big electoral test since May 7th and it happened here, in Norfolk, last Thursday” says Nigel Farage. The 17.1% turnout Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner. Not the Aberdeen South by-election that Reform didn’t win. Or the Makerfield by-election that Reform didn’t win. Or the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry by-election that Reform didn’t win. Or the Gorton and Denton by-election that Reform didn’t win. Apparently Westminster by-elections aren’t big electoral tests. So why is he campaigning so hard against Count Binface?

Tomorrow’s by-election in Aberdeen South is neck and neck between me and the SNP. If pro-UK, pro-oil and gas voters unite behind myself and the Scottish Conservatives, then we can beat the SNP and send Labour a clear message.
