Within the first 30 seconds, two boys wearing rags, one barefoot, walk by the gate to her palatial, multi-billion dollar residence that is her sixth home! They’re followed by a lady balancing a jerrycan of water on her head. There are people, even here on Twitter, who claimed Among was a champion of the people from Teso & their causes, that she stole for them from the national coffers - if not on their behalf! I imagine that lady walks like this everyday, for some kilometres, in 2026 to get a basic of life, water! It’s highly likely that the area does not have water flowing from taps. When one of these boys falls sick, there won’t be an ambulance to pick them to the nearest health centre that is kilometres away. Sadly, the nearest hospital may have no drugs, let alone medics! You can be a great team with resources that rank in the middle of your conference. You can take a job and have success at a school in which the administration has higher expectations than they give you resources. The reality is, it is difficult to get any head coaching position, especially for those looking for their first. First time head coaches usually aren’t getting max resourced jobs in high school, college, or in the pros. The resource excuse is often a crutch for coaches: “We didn’t beat them because they have more.” “How are we suppose to win with our facilities?” “We travel in vans. They travel charter; they are more well-rested and prepared.” When deciding whether to apply for, go through the hiring process, and ultimately, making the decision to accept a new position, coaches should ask themselves three questions: 1. “Is my new administration open-minded to finding creative solutions to bridging the resource gaps so we can provide the best experience for our student-athletes?” -Creating revenue: My current athletic director David Spafford has taught me a lot about revenue creation in athletics. There are a lot of ways to bridge the budget gap including fundraising, corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, facility rentals, camps, and much more. The possibilities are endless. If you are looking at a position where the allocated resources aren’t where they need to be to compete then ask yourself if you’re the right person to help create revenue. You’ll see a job where the previous 10 years yielded multiple coaches and no success. Then one coach comes in and turns everything around without a change to the allocated resources. Chances are, the new coach is a better fit for the job than prior coaches. They usually arrive with a bag full of creative solutions and positive energy to move the program forward. If you don’t have budget money for post-workout nutrition for your student-athletes then go raise money. If you need a new weight room then go talk to corporate sponsors around the community about giving X amount of dollars annually for the next 10 years. Get an architectural rendering. Go out and show the community what is needed, why it benefits them and others. Remember, actual coaching is a small percentage of the job. Building a program is so much more. 2. “What do I need as a coach for success, what are my non-negotiables, and does this position provide them so I can help the school, program, and student-athletes achieve success?” -Every coach needs talented players, but it’s more than that. Style of play is really important for each coach. Does the job you’re considering allow you to work with and develop the type of athlete you need to be successful. Some coaches are flexible in working with different leadership styles, many are not. Can you handle an athletic director who micro-manages or who can and will blow up on you? Do you prefer a more hands-off AD? What kind of boss do you need and does the job provide it? Make a list of 3-5 non-negotiables. Does the job have them? If they don’t then you already know your answer. The job has to line up with your core values. 3. “Can we compete towards the top third of the conference if I am the head coach at this job?” -The quality of every job is ultimately on a sliding scale based on how good the conference is. Maybe the job you are considering is poorly-resourced but it’s also in a weak conference. This is the type of job you should consider taking. The jobs you need to avoid are the worst jobs within the best leagues. You can take and find success in a low-resourced positions if the league is just ok. However, there is minimal pathway to success if you’re in the best league and at an under-resourced school. If you do catch lighting in a bottle, there won’t be sustainability with this set up.

The astonishing 12,000-year-old #IceAge #Ratnagiri Petroglyph provides insight into the astronomical knowledge of our ancestors. This petroglyph features four prominent figures: 1. A man enclosed in a rectangular bracket with six grooves on alternate sides within the rectangle. On the outer bracket, there are four semi-spheres representing the four directions. Waves can be seen at the bottom which could be the sea or a river, while the top displays alternating rectangular shapes, possibly indicating an early understanding of the solar year. 2. The second figure resembles a semi-sphere with a head containing thirteen grooves. Below, there are straight lines suggesting some form of axis, which may represent the reconciliation of the lunar year with the solar year. 3. Here is the Geometry Nodes Weighted Normals with Laplacian Blur on a full character (a vroid). It easily improves the shading even on game topology with almost no setup. I built this as part of my quest to improve real time toon shading. 3D anime models are popular, but use of dynamic light is rare even among high quality vtuber models. This is for several reasons, but a big one is simply that it takes a lot of Custom Normals work to make 3D cel shading not look like a jagged mess (other pieces of the puzzle are issues like deformations, multiple lights, etc). And fixing Normals is tedious, especially on existing game topology. I have focused on proxy meshes for priority areas like character faces, but they aren't an efficient solution for the whole body + outfit. I wanted something I could just throw on any model and make it at least not a jagged mess anymore even if it wasn't perfect. As you can see from this clip, this does that very well! And vertex groups can be used to control the style of the effect and power. It still can't smooth beyond what the topology density can support, but the topo itself is no longer a problem (for higher res, could be run on a subdivided version of the model and then baked to a Normal Map.) The only changes I made to this model were adding a weld modifier to merge split edges during interpolation, and a vertex group to select the skirt. I have not yet added full handling and logic for detecting edges with big angles like the skirt, or for handling boundaries like on the hair, so both those areas can get better too. You can also see that while it successfully smooths out the Face, it isn't really stylistically correct there. That is still best done with a proxy mesh to define a new shape. This is part of the tools I am working on for Fondant. We are putting together a Blender Addon to release this + a proxy mesh tool for the face, and are working on resolving other problems in-engine to fully bring dynamic light to real time 3D toon shading. My partner and I got attacked at Download Festival on Sunday. We just stopped to watch a band and a women sat about 10 feet behind us in a chair marched up behind us and shouted 'f*cking get out of my way'. We told her it's a festival, we can stand where we like and you can stand up if you want to see the band. chill out! A young women next to me said she had said the same to her. The woman then continued a tirade of verbal abuse which included, you are a pair of 'big c*ocks', and 'I am going to hit you'. She then ran up behind me, ripped my hat off my head which pulled my neck back and then threw my hat into the crowd. Her male friend then punched my partner in the face. When I turned I pushed her away from me, she then grabbed my hair and kept pulling it until I was on the ground she then repeatedly kicked me in the head, face and body with her heavy boots . Luckily some wonderful bystanders pulled her away from me, as she was much bigger than me, both in height and width. We went to the security and police and they said because I pushed her I would be offered a Community Resolution, which I refused to accept. They also said we might be evicted from the festival. We were not treated as victims of assault we were treated as trouble makers. The police failed to take a full statement from us and the Download security didn't even bother talking to us, just the people that attacked us. These terrible people weren't arrested or evicted from the festival, they were allowed to stay and to potentially go on to verbally abuse and attack other innocent people. I complained to the police and did another statement yesterday. The man taking the statement was shocked as it did not come across as we were victims at all in the statement taken at the festival. It's shocking that a police office saw the video of me on the floor being repeatedly kicked in the head and face and failed to report it correctly, identify us a victims of assault and evict or arrest our attackers. I am a 55 year old woman with epilepsy, I don't drink or take drugs, my parter is 53 and didn't drink as he was driving. I was looking forward to Download as a distraction as my Mum has just been killed by medical negligence and I have been spending my time dealing with the coroners and all that goes with it. It's been the worst time of my life and this experience has just sent me over the edge. Shame on the police for victim blaming and failing to protect the public from dangerous people. As for the person at Download security you should be ashamed of yourself, believing them over us and not bothering to collect evidence from both sides. I have attached a video of me being attacked and some photos of the aggressive woman. In one of the photos you can see her being held back, so she would have happily gone back in to attack me again. I had to go home as I didn't feel safe staying, as they were still at the festival, plus I wasn't in any fit state to stay. I currently can't work as my chest has been stamped on and i'm struggling to move and breath properly. Eating is fun as the right side of my face and teeth are really uncomfortable and my lip is cut. My vision has also been intermittently blurry and I have felt dizzy. I work for myself, so getting paid time off isn't an option. We did get some witnesses but if you or anyone you know saw this women attacking or verbally abusing anyone please let me know. Let's get the face of the women who thinks it's ok to stamp on someones face and head at Download Festival known. People like this should be banned from any festival for life. If we have yet to see a photo of Lance in a full-blown fursuit, why is he being referred to as a furry? Furthermore, why a "trans furry"? Some media outlets like CNN reported that anti-semitic messages were scrawled on the weapons. Interesting. 🤔 Question: What proof do we have that Robin died from a self-inflicted wound? I'm asking because it has been speculated that that is how Tyler Robinson was "expected" to go out, but we all know that it didn't play out that way. And now we recently learned that Charlie's medical examiner's wife is a furry with some very strange interests. Just when you think that things can’t get any weirder 🫪. As you can imagine, the usual suspects are the ones prowling the streets looking for kids of other schools to kick the shit out of! URGENT APPEAL – BRISTOL INCIDENT We are sharing this to help identify a group responsible for a violent attack yesterday evening. A young girl was targeted by a group (approx. 10 males and 3 females) solely because of the school she attends. She had no involvement in the so-called "Bristol Wars" social media trend. She is currently in the hospital awaiting further brain scans. We are incredibly grateful to the students who stepped in to get her to safety. A message from her father: "My daughter has no part in this... 10 lads stomping on her head in two different places. They even discussed hitting her with a rollerblade boot but decided against it only because they didn't want to get their clothes dirty."
