Homelessness in LA is a humanitarian crisis. And our response isn't working. The city has the money to fix this. But we are not moving urgently enough to use this money on what works and demand that every dollar we spend moves as many people off the streets and into safety as possible. Angelenos have voted three times to tax themselves to respond to this crisis with services and housing. Today, we returned to Pretoria West for a law enforcement operation. Our first stop was to shutdown the Favours Cathedral Church on WF Nkomo Road. This church has been operating illegally for years. The owners of this church have not been paying for water and electricity. In addition, they’ve built illegal structures on this site despite warnings from the City. The City has approached the High Court for permission to demolish the illegal structures built inside this site. The church is a big money making scheme: they run a funeral service and a radio station. We’ve disconnected their electricity and water. City of Tshwane

Over the past year, a lot of the conversation has been around how quickly AI is changing the digital world. At the same time, it made us think about how little has changed in the physical one. Most products are still designed the same way, just with more features layered on top. We wanted to explore a different direction at Lusion. Instead of asking how to add intelligence, we asked what happens if you take things away. What remains when you strip a product back to its core purpose, and design it properly from there. Oryzo is our first attempt at that. It is a physical product, built with a very simple idea of how it should exist and behave. No dependency on external systems, no complexity for the sake of it. Just something that feels considered. Curious to hear what people think. Link is in the comment!

No matter how much Arvind Kejriwal touts the 'Delhi Model of Governance' the truth is that Delhi still can’t guarantee its people clean water, fresh air, or even a decent place to live. Instead, we’re choking on pollution. On top of that, basic health care infrastructure is missing. Meanwhile, while Kejriwal’s been busy with his empty promises and politics, LG Delhi has actually stepped up and done more in the last 2 years than this government has done in the last decade!
