While staying in the lobby of the North Tower to offer comfort, absolution, and last rites, Father was the official first fatality of 9/11 after the tower was hit with debris from the collapse of the South Tower. This was the final homily he gave to the NYFD the day before dying in the World Trade Center. Never forget the priests who will face danger to give us the necessary sacraments.
