10 bridges collapsed in the last three years in Bihar! 7 bridges have collapsed in Bihar in the last year: 🫸March 19: A British-era road bridge collapsed in Saran district, injuring two people. 🫸February 19: An under-construction bridge collapsed in Patna district on Bihta-Sarmera's four-lane road. 🫸January 16: An iron bridge collapsed in Darbhanga district due to an overloaded truck. 🫸March 22: The Bakaur bridge, the country's largest under-construction bridge, collapsed in Supaul district, killing one person and injuring nine. 🫸April 30, 2023: An under-construction bridge linking Bhagalpur and Khagaria collapsed. 🫸June 4, 2023: The 3.16-km-long, four-lane bridge over the Ganga River connecting north and south Bihar collapsed for the second time during construction. 🫸June 5, 2023: A bridge built in 1884 during the British period collapsed in Fatuha sub-town, 25 km away from Patna, due to excessive weight.
