I’ve only been a fan of Indy (and open wheel in general) for the past couple of seasons so I’m still not sure who’s to blame or why. Please forgive the ignorance could someone explain why everyone said it was Ericsson’s fault?

Currently in IndyCar, this is allowed and not a penalty As far as the contact, Ericsson has the door open slightly and kicks it open. His move and going deep initiates the contact, forcing Grosjean wide. While people blame Marcus for contact, what he did is allowed

Okay, thank you! I thought Grosjean would’ve been at fault for trying to close the door when Ericsson was already showing signs of making the attempt. But I grew up on stock cars and contact like that happens every corner on a short track lol

I love this corner. Every year it produces the best passes. Inside, outside, and the defending car often can fight back on the next straight.
