For 4 days the pro-Hamas mob Columbia University has taken over our campus. No one bothered them. Saturday night, we went out with Israeli flags for one hour. They stole our flag and tried to burn it, my brother was assaulted, and Jewish students were splashed with water. Public safety was nowhere to be found. Columbia has lost its campus. This is why Jewish students don’t feel safe. Because they are not.

When you see this video with all the riot police, you would think to yourself that they are dealing with a huge crowd of aggressive, violent, angry people. They you see who they were actually facing. No big mob. No weapons. No banners with angry slogans. No indication of violence or threatening behaviour. What the hell went wrong with our Police? Do they feel proud when they treat their own people like this? Is this what they want for our country? For their kids and grandkids? Shame on them all 🤬

JIHYO: This year marks our 10th anniversary since debut over these 10 years of working hard, we have become much more at ease and really gotten used to this job. So now, instead of focusing on competition I feel that if we just enjoy what we’re good at, and as the director mentioned earlier, show ourselves as we truly are—our charms and our energy—then the people watching us feel it even more. So now, we are approaching our work with the mindset of interacting with our fans and enjoying the work even more #지효 #JIHYO #ジヒョ

Shuler: Workers are fed up with an entire political system that they feel is getting in the way. So what we can do here as elected officials—what you all can do—is invest in good union jobs. When people see you investing in good union jobs, they feel hopeful. They feel hopeful for the future, and they can say firsthand, “I’m seeing the change. I feel the change for myself and my family.” Therefore, they become invested. As a woman who came up through the IBEW, I know this is an opportunity for women and people of color to engage in a pathway to the middle class in a way that we haven’t seen before through these good union jobs. This is an opportunity to bring people back into good jobs and back into our democracy if we do it right.

Tradition is not the handing on of ashes but the transmission of fire. There is no other way to preserve a civilization than to set our younger generation on fire with the beauty, truth, and sheer adventure that it affords, of which they are the full and rightful inheritors. Nothing can better root or better reward them amid our current crisis of meaning. This is why Ralston College takes its students to Greece and Rome, to the very places where our civilization was forged and tested, and why we teach them these ancient languages—so that they can unlock directly the treasures of that invaluable inheritance, better understand the world they now inhabit, and share these immense riches with others. Here is a video of our first Latin program in Italy this summer, involving students from all over the world, who came together to learn this beautiful and profound language. Although most students had no knowledge of Latin at all when they arrived, they left able not just to read but also to speak it, each on fire with the flame that gives life meaning, illumination, and purpose. Let every spirit thrive: ANIMUS CRESCAT
