The username was a wordplay on "Yu" (which also means "fish 🐟") and the avatar was a dog, his favorite animal. Many fans suspected that this account actually belonged to him. This wasn't the first time he was seen in low-cost outfits. Many of his daily clothes cost only $11–27. Although he once had an endorsement deal with Bosideng (a major winter clothing brand in China), the sponsored coats were often seen on his assistant, while Yu himself only wore a $27 jacket. His assistant was wearing a $700 North Face coat, while Yu had simple buns for meals.
