Continuous cycle paths and footpaths across minor side streets should be a standard feature across Ireland:

As they are starting to become a standard here in Limerick over time with every new project, crossings are becoming noticeably safer but also just more comfortable and secure feeling, they make people feel less like they're out in the open and exposed to danger

Kilkenny County Council did this with the footpath on the entrance to a street recently. Only some drivers realise they do not have priority when crossing the clear footpath. It should be the norm but also needs major driver re-education

I'm sick of Yield signs at every intersection that allow drivers to push me off the road, even though I was first there.

One wouldn’t think they’d be necessary on minor roads, it just shows how poor motorists are at driving.

Wow that looks really safe! Where is it in Dublin?

Here:

@garyzealous 💯 I was half way across this entrance to a doing centre when a driver came to behind me and blew their horn at me. The impatience.

Amen to that.

But motorists will use them for parking.
