Contra 3D? Shut up and take my money! 💵

We literally had this on PS1 & Saturn. Both were kinda ass. Even if you gave the games updated dual analog controls(given PS1 & Saturn originally released with gamepads without analog sticks), the games would still be ass. I didn’t memory hole these games for a reason

They did that back on the Playstation.

I think it won't appeal much to our generation who has played the original Contra as the sense of hard struggle to survive and defeat is not apparent in this 3D version. Also, the linearity of progression in old game was there meaning player knew that he has to progress in one direction and it gave a sense of incremental achievement and progressive completion of game with each step took forward. But here in 3D version it's moving in all direction so stepping side or back gives a demotivating feeling as the target focusness is not there so the player may feel lost sometimes.

Well, they tried twice in the '90s: "Contra: Legacy of War" (1996) "C: The Contra Adventure" (1998)

Nowhere near enough of a bullet hell to be called Contra. They get points for effort and style though.

Is it one hit deaths though? Will the Konami code work for lives too?

It's called: Contra Reforged It was in early stage dev back in 2023-2024... Not sure what happened to it...
