That game could use the energy the internet had for Wolverine but I guess positivity doesn't get the views and likes.

Manhattan as a Control playground is the part I actually wanted

That liminal space between dream logic and brutalist architecture hits different when the walls start shifting on you

I enjoyed this game but it is disappointing. The combat is repetitive even though they built a huge system they lock you into a path with no reason to make new builds. No combos. They never went far enough with the weird either. It’s all cool but never pushed to it’s absolute limits design wise. Every boss in the game is bad gameplay wise. Design wise cool. One section they present an amazing story and monsters and all this stuff and decide to be cheap and not actually build it out. It never reached anywhere near the heights of Control 1 or Alan Wake 2. This is remedy toned back and trying to make a game for the masses and stand out. I don’t know if it will work.

manhattan is basically a dystopian fever dream anyway so this feels like a documentary at this point
