I think there are too many wretches in the military for it not to exist. The military is a reflection of society after all.

So many professional women I've spoken to agree with you. Very similar in the police when I've asked female friends and colleagues. Strange how it's always the same individuals complaining of sexism. Why so different for them? I suspect it just wasn't for them.

You look online and most of the sexist comments tend to come from the SLR brigade whose biggest danger was alcohol poisoning in Germany.

Saw it worked from both sides. As in all walks of life, depends who was doing what to who. Worse incident was in a mess, where a visiting very senior officer, after a few drinks grabbed a female Eng O's boobs and no one did much to remonstrate with him!

My experience was very much on par with your comments here, despite having a non descript, slightly northern but mostly Received Pronunciation (RP) accent. I only experienced gender based discrimination when I was ill.

Mostly complained about by the front bums that couldn't do the job , those that could just got on with it,and you only noticed they were different because they made the place smell funny )
