If you dribble the ball out to suck time off the clock, you’re doing the defense a favor because 1: the D is set and you’re allow them to rest. —- gearing up for a final possession to win. 2: You’re going to get off a rushed /bad shot by starting the action late in the clock. I hate this decision by Fox. Go for the throat and push in semi transition off the block shot. Start the offense early in the clock to be sure you get a great shot and go for the damn throat. I can understand it if there’s 24-26 seconds left in the game after you secure possession but not when there’s 8-9 second difference in shot clock & game clock. Live and learn. Lost by 3. Lost by 1.
