Wish someone would start a company making new versions of the old appliances. The designs had so many conveniences, were nearly indestructible and lasted for decades. I hate modern appliances with their apps, cheap materials and computer systems.

That top broiler on those was the bees knees and also worked as a grill or griddle 🤩 🍃

Ok be honest. Vintage 1952 “style” or is it actually from 1952.

Or only very cool but it will likely outlive them. I guess we lost the “secret knowledge” of how to make things that aren’t complete garbage. Sorry, I mean garbage but with Bluetooth.

I have always wanted a vintage stove. They are so much nicer then what they sell now. The one in this video is awesome. ❤️🔥

You are obviously a good cook; your hubby bought you the Cadillac of stoves so that you can show that off. Good on both of you!!

That is beautiful

Do they cook better? Definitely look better.

My parents have an o’keefe & Merritt and it’s from like the 40s. The BTUs on that were…literal fire. Everything cooks SO. MUCH. FASTER. No contest. New stoves are total junk. They just don’t make quality like this anymore 😔

I LOVE THAT STOVE! Can you get specific temperatures with it? It must have a broil. Oh it does look exciting.

WHAT A BEAUTY!!!

I want one of these!

Cool!

I bet you have no clue about anything

You know how heavy that thing is? Congrats

I used to have that stove!

@grok what song is playing in the background

Jealous

My mother had a Chambers gas stove just like it.

That’s when things were well made to last a lifetime now you’re lucky you have a refrigerator a stove, a dishwasher for 10 years. Some people I know they broke down soon after the purchase!

He loves you

@lisalou Anyone know where to get a 1935 O'Keefe & Merritt refurbished, preferably near Chicago?

That’s beautiful

my sister-in-law had a house that had a vintage gas stove in it. It was so much fun to use. It had so many ways that you could cook. It was incredible. I loved it.

I AM SOOOOOOOOO JEALOUS!!!!!

My parent had a Everhot with water jacket that used to heat the water. As kids when they went out we opened the flue & the bottom door on the firebox & wound the temp. gauge around the dial, the hot plates were cherry red & expanded so much the stood up .

It's beautiful

Chambers. The burners are wonderful...the oven is tiny.

Dude you showed everything but the coolest oven ever all you showed was the food

Yo! If you don’t want it I do!!!!

How huge is the fucker you married! 🤣

@grok why are ovens like this 15,000+ for the same quality maybe not even the same quality
