while we don’t know for sure if the iPhone mirroring feature will come to the Apple Vision Pro, I sure hope it does. for now, it's available on Mac—i tested it and it's amazing! here’s how you can experience it on your Mac today: 1. make sure both your iPhone and Mac are running the latest beta versions of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. 2. position your iPhone near your Mac. 3. an icon titled "iPhone Mirroring" will appear on your Mac's Dock. 4. select the "Continue" button on your Mac. 5. unlock your iPhone when prompted. 6. on your Mac, click the "Get Started" button. 7. with your iPhone locked, open the "iPhone Mirroring" app on your Mac. this feature is a game-changer, and i can’t wait for the day it hopefully comes to the Vision Pro!

I just launched a free App that lets you open Mac Apps…from your iPhone. And close them with a swipe. A much faster drag and drop. And a ton of more features in the pipeline. It’s called choclift and you really should try it out. Available for free in the App Store for iOS and macOS.

I built my first macOS app :) Live on the App Store now: Meet NotchShelf. A small utility that lives in the notch and gives you quick access to things you actually need during the day. Built entirely with SwiftUI. What it does: 📂 Quick Shelf: A temporary holding zone for drag-and-drop files. 💻 Screenshot Magnet: Automatically catches screenshots for quick and easy access 📅 Calendar View: Have a quick glance at your events. 📸 One-tap camera: A one-tap camera check before your next meeting. 📝 Quick Note: Jot down important quick notes for thoughts, reminders, or meeting points. and many more advancements and new features coming really soon!

You can now pin a dock of your recently opened Mac apps right on your desk and switch between them with a single tap when using Mac Virtual Display on Vision Pro. It updates automatically so you always have a direct shortcut to the apps you’re currently working with. You can even pin your favourites to the front of the line to create your perfect setup. It‘s called App Time Travel, and it's one of the headline features in the big new choclift for Vision Pro update, available today.

THE $599 MAC MINI GETS A $49 DOCK AND TURNS FROM A DESK COMPUTER INTO A TINY 24/7 AI WORKFLOW SERVER 00:19 he clips the dock onto the back of the mac mini, adds extra ports, ethernet, storage and turns one small silver box into a workflow hub that can stay online for 700+ hours a month a base mac mini can sit online all day, pulling light power while scripts watch folders, move files, process notes and keep boring workflows running in the background paired with claude, it becomes a small home automation box: 2-hour lectures get transcribed, 30-page articles get summarized, reports get drafted, and research gets cleaned before you even open the laptop the difference is the loop. trigger, process, verify, save, repeat. the same workflow that costs $40-100/month across cloud tools can run locally from one machine on your desk that is why this tiny upgrade matters. the dock is cheap, but it gives the mac mini enough expansion to act like a quiet server instead of another computer waiting for you to use it bookmark this before your desk setup realizes it became infrastructure.

I found a great utility app called Dock Pro by Chad Milburn that gives your Vision Pro a floating dock with quick access to apps, bookmarks, iMessage contacts, and shows the time and battery percentage of your Vision Pro. It’s fully customizable, and you can even add separators or gaps. I keep it under my virtual ultrawide monitor all the time and use it to quickly open Music or start an iMessage conversation with my wife. So far, it has boosted my productivity a lot while working. The app’s design looks super cohesive with visionOS, which is always a big plus for me as a designer. I’m giving it a 4/5 Visions 🥽🥽🥽🥽 and highly recommend checking it out!

Zeity for macOS is live 🦉✨ 9am standup - lagos, berlin, são paulo. i'm doing timezone math in my head before i've even opened slack. That's been the last few years of remote work for me, quietly tracking when teammates are awake, asleep, eating lunch, signing off. The Chrome extension i built (Zeity v1) helped, but it was always one tab away from being ignored. So i ported it to the Mac and rewrote the whole thing in Swift. Zeity for Mac lives in your menu bar — your friends' and teammates' local times always one click away. No new tabs, no calendar plugins, no math. What's in it 👇🏽: - Search timezones by city or local place, not just timezone names (Apple's native APIs do the heavy lifting) - Native widgets: Clock, Friends, Timezones - Launch at login, runs quietly, low cpu usage (near 0) - AppleScript support for the automation lovers - One-click in-app updates → Download: → Not on a Mac? Zeity also lives as a Chrome extension, works on any OS → A simple solution I needed, now for everyone.
