Basic rule of gunfighting: Action beats reaction. That's a great way to explain it.

Everyone is all, "What a great public interaction," and "Action always beats reaction..." But what did she say when he asked why he beat her? "Because I trusted you." Tells the problem with most women. And really why we need to be protected by "Toxic Masculinity!" LOL And I LOVE that he had to "move their lovehandle out of the way and drop their safety..." LOL So real. :)

a woman dumbfounded at the idea of forethought and planning? noooooooo! when confronted with real violence hit hard hit fast hit first do not wait for them to strike first the punch you don't see is the one that will knock you out you may not be fast enough

If you watch closely, he doesn't beat her because he "moves first". It's more clever than that. Watch very closely; he is talking and EVERYONE waits until the other has finished speaking. He uses the technique where he moves BEFORE he has finished speaking. Watch it again!

So they put themselves in front of a car in case the person takes off? So they can get run over?

Because they don't believe we have a right to self defense against their threats, so they feel comfortable making threatening gestures that they themselves would respond to with violence if they were mirrored.

Thanks for letting know officer of all your tricks. I bet next time she won't make that mistake again.

The fact she doesn't get it and thinks she somehow "got tricked" is concerning

You can hear it in her voice that she is attracted to him.

If you are afraid of people, just don't be a cop.

Neil's Bohr actually did some fun (if not especially rigorous) experiments on this, and he found that in a cowboy-movie-style gunslinger duel, the advantage goes to the person who reacts Sometime reflexes can be faster than voluntary action

This is awesome; and a wholesome experience. Community policing at its finest. It would be awesome to drive a cop car around the block, especially with the lights on.

I never realized how dumbed down you have to explain things for average people to understand. Someone do a dumbed down version of getting hit by a car and why police shoot the person.
