Not saying the cop isn’t wrong, but the dude on the bike is a dickhead.

Cop seemed very calm and collected. The bike owner seemed aggressive if anything.

The cop only needs reasonable suspicion to initiate a stop. Being at a gas station without tags its reasonable to believe he drove there without tags, thus the 4th amendment was not violated. This is a pretty cut and dry terry stop.

Cop isn’t allowed to touch that guys key. Would sue immediately.

Biker is a real dick. Answer all the officer's questions with respect. Remove your helmet so the officer can properly ID you. Be cooperative.

Everyone in the comments defending the cop stopping you in a parking lot

They violate every amendment.

“I’m in a parking lot sir”… Yeah, how did you get to said parking lot you fucking retard?

It's not only illegal, but it's also extremely dangerous (and STUPID) to fill a bike with the fngine running!! Not to mention the danger of operating a mobile phone whilst pumping gas!!! IF NOTHING ELSE, THIS BLOKE IS A COMPLETE IDIOT!!!!

A vehicle must be registered whether in a parking lot or on the roadway in almost any state. So he had reasons me suspicion for the stop and did not violate his 4th Amendment rights. Learn the law before you post this ignorant crap.

“Damn how dare he look cooler than me on that motorcycle I better go bother him so I feel better for myself “

Nothing happened. Cop asked for ID, and the biker reluctantly handed it over. Dick move on cops behalf to take away his key like that, but he did say they have an issue with bikers fleeing the scene. I believe the cop isn’t an asshole.

This cop arrives and immediately violates this man’s 4th amendment rights do who is committing a crime

Another ahole biker being a Dumb ass was operating a vehicle Lying to a cop being a jerk Cop was stupid just 2 little dicks trying to be tougher than the other

As a cop this is EXACTLY WHY SHERIFFS shouldnt mess with traffic!!! Not only that but this is illegal as hell and violates the 4th/5th. Dumbass fatty cakes over there.

Plot twist. Drives off without paying for fuel.

A smart cop will let the motorcycle driver leave the promises and then arrest him. The policeman job is to enforced the law not to prevent people from breaking the law.

Training people.. Should not give idiots that much power..🤦🏼♂️

It’s not a parking lot it’s a gas station . The guys logic for having his plates covered is stupid .

I would be a dick as well! This stop was COMPLETELY UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Once he reached and grabbed the keys, my attitude would have changed as well!

Cop in fact did NOT violate any amendments. Bikers are such pussies

That doesn't matter, the vop didn't see the vehicle actually on the road without a tag...unlawful stop.

See how Buddy grabbed his bodycam from the door and didn’t turn it on😂😂

Question from a non rider. Would it be sneaky smart to always carry a spare key for these times when the cop takes them? Ready for a quick zoom away??

was that a valid stop? No, it wasn't, therefore the theft of keys was not lawful either. Traffic laws do not exist on private property. I have farm trucks that I do not tag, but they don't spend a single minute on a public road, 100% legal.

Flip plates are illegal, period they have 1 use , to evade after criminal behaviour , which is why zero non criminals fit them.

Whole conversation woulda went better if the cop didn’t pull the key out

Did you see me drive it? STFU, You , at the gas station, on a running bike, is enough circumstantial evidence to slap every associated fine, including impoundment. He's actually lucky he came across a gracious and inexperienced cop.

GoPro biker is pumping his motorized vehicle with fuel while it is running and also has a license plate cover on... Don't really blame the officer for being concerned. More context would probably help the case as well.

Bike owner is a dick and clearly runs from cops if he has a plate blocker

Helmet (safety) + flipped up plate (for photos as to not leak registration to potential stalkers) = obscuring

You can , legally be stopped in a parking lot . Don't be an A hole ,if anyone was being an A hole it was you on the bike . You got nothing to hide ? Be responsible, be polite and drive that bike responsible and within the rules of the rd .

JD Vance doing some moonlighting

There's only one reason why you would have a registration plate that flips up!

Biker at night with a go-pro and no license plate. That guy has less rights than black people in the 1600s
