Copper Pennies haven’t been 100% pure copper in a long time. It’s better to buy bare copper wire or other solid copper shapes. U.S. penny (cent) composition over time, focusing on when truly 100% copper pennies ended and the major shifts since: • 1793–1857 — Nearly 100% pure copper (large cents; no significant alloys added). • 1857 — Last year of 100% copper pennies (transitioned to smaller size with alloys starting that year or 1856 prototypes). • 1856–1864 — 88% copper + 12% nickel (Flying Eagle and early Indian Head cents). • 1864–1942 — 95% copper + 5% tin and zinc (bronze alloy; Lincoln cents from 1909 onward). • 1943 — Zinc-coated steel (temporary wartime change; very few error copper versions exist). • 1944–1958 — Returned to 95% copper bronze. • 1959–1962 — 95% copper + 5% tin and zinc. • 1962–1982 (mid-year) — 95% copper + 5% zinc (tin removed for cost/durability). • 1982 (late) onward — Copper-plated zinc (97.5% zinc core + thin 2.5% copper plating; some 1982 pennies are still the older 95% copper type). • 2025 — U.S. Mint halted production of new pennies for circulation (due to high costs), though existing ones remain legal tender.

Yes! They took away our copper water pipes, which brought purified water into our homes and replaced it with PVC! * I have started drinking out of a copper water bottle, but, I also heard that .999 silver also purifies water? Also, that copper with zinc creates a strong molecular purification? Overall, is copper the best then?

When I visit disabled veterans like my friend Mike sirsky who I played keyboard while he played electric guitar like Jerry Garcia he used to be in the navy. Well I was very upset seeing him in hospice care. But I treated him with so much respect and I demanded he have copper cups and also a few copper bracelets for his ankles and hands. Rip. He said one time when I was visiting the nursing home that he thought I was his mother for a minute bc I looked a lot like her. Id take him out in his wheelchair to sit in the sun.

Entire household copper water plumbing has been being used for decades. Common use in the mid 1940s and still used as a pex alternative, however PEX cost is about half or less and has replaced copper in the past 10 or so yrs. Most older homes have copper plumbing.

Yes, copper purifies water but it does not remove chemical contaminants or impurities.

Interesting - I had heard this about silver too... Purchased some silver cups - purifies water and is healing. Copper is less expensive.

Removing copper pipe plumbing, copper coins, and kitchenware, was part of the war against the people! Later we realized the banks, courts, corporations and governments were in on it. Trump et al are gonna reverse the harm. Hold the line. Future proves past
