One of the best things I did when remodeling my kitchen was get copper piping for whatever my drinking water touched

Don't replace, repair the pipe. Eliminate infiltration fast with the premier Internal Pipe Joint Seal, HydraTite. These seals are custom-manufactured to fit any man-entry-sized & structurally sound pipe. Don't wait for infiltration to create sinkholes. Install HydraTite.

They've been doing this since the 1980s. Used to dig up redundant copper pipes in fields on our farm. Made so much pocket money as a kid! I didn't know what I now do. My family doesn't have grey hair even at age 79! Copper pipes 🙂

If you buy good quality vintage pans they also have copper bottoms. The inlays for poached eggs are also stainless steel unlike 95% of modern pans that use teflon. I will be sticking to copper and stainless steel thanks!

Is there such a thing as copper toxicity? I feel it would be better than plastic. There are accounts stating copper is toxic. I’m confused. Copper has been used for centuries, right?

None of this is true. Interior plumbing is typically pex, and has no vinyl chloride. It's cross linked polyethylene which is closest to a hydrocarbon chain. Copper has always been eaten by some soft waters. It's not a chemical additive, it's low mineral water.
