The sink vortex direction doesn't change between hemispheres.

Actually none of these effects are the coriolis effect.

The Ball is moving in a straight line while the platform has turned underneath. The ball has done what it's supposed to do: move along the tangent on a straight line path.

Let people who think that the earth is flat come to explain this phenomenon.

Do long range guns on ships factor this in to their projectile calculations?

They gotta think of what they're doing. If he wants him to catch the ball at 45degrees further to the left he should throw it there! He's literally throwing it into the past bc they're moving 🤔

I believe the earth model doesn't apply to this effect as both objects have momentum in the same direction.
