My parents lived in one of these soul-draining towns in Glenview, Illinois. The "town" was erected on the site of the Glenview Naval Air Station. When I was a kid the Air Station hosted Boy Scout pinebox derby races. When I was in high school I dated the daughter of the Commandant. He was a very strict father.

People are upset by the lack of tourists or something? Do they need a gas station for the ambiance?
