There was a woman at my old job who worked 16 hours unpaid overtime every week on a 40h/week contract and complained that she didn't have enough time to spend with her daughter. It was then that I realised some people truly are not sentient in any meaningful sense.

Reminds of my last job. The manager was a woman and would drive herself into nervous breakdowns while I would try to remind her to calm down. Every little thing was the end of the world and she would go overboard on enforcing every new corporate policy or guideline. What would really piss everyone off is when she would tell all of the employees “we’re family here!”

I feel like this is kinda related to male hobbies being mostly time-investment (working out, sports, competitive games, woodworking, legos, etc.), whereas female hobbies are mostly consumption based (shopping, social media, attending events/concerts, traveling, etc.)

I'll disagree about the whole "men rejoice when they're fired" thing cause that's like one of the most well known causes for male suicide.
