@JonathanLanday Chinese entities prob used Hong Kong or other foreign trading companies for purchasing any restricted parts. Are US companies required to ask questions to discern actual purchaser??

Will be hard to hold commercial companies accountable in the West for selling export-approved tech to China. I suspect much of that system, from balloon to sensor payload, was made with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) parts. Shooting it down cost more than it did to fly
