Most stupid person is the one who is filling his tank.. You should always check whether the meter is zero or not before filling your tank. It's laziness of customer which is costing him his own money. Scammers like him are everywhere in India we need to be proactive

In 2024, I was going to a function and stopped the bike to top up. The guy tried to start the meter from 150 and kept asking me to look the other way because the QR guy was on the opposite side. Dude, that 10-second eye-stare moment was fun. He was probably begging me to turn around.

US, and other countries like Canada, NZ, Aus don't even have fuel pump attendants, one has to fill one's own gas. Uniquely Indian job. Low trust society.

Whenever I go to fill, I am always asked by the attendant, to check for zero. Same with taxi and auto. It's a bit of our responsibility also

have seen similar fraud at barkatpura x road, HP petrol bunk, where one person distracts you, while the other person is committing fraud. You can actually see many complaints. But no action. Once I complained to hpcl, they leaked my pho no to bunk owner.

The person filming should have raised complaint then and there Bad people are doing bad only because good people are silent plus maybe that biker had asked for 220 and that worker is honest

The matter was initially reported telephonically; however, the supporting video and related details were not made available at that stage. A review of the CCTV footage at the retail outlet did not conclusively identify the specific transaction. Upon subsequent receipt of the video evidence, a Show Cause Notice was issued to the Dealer and the matter was examined in detail. The complaint was thereafter formally received from the concerned complainants - Mr. Rohit Poojary and Venusx. The dealership has lodged a police complaint against the delivery staff involved, who is presently untraceable, and has removed the individual from service pending further proceedings. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach towards any malpractice. Necessary corrective measures have been implemented, and monitoring mechanisms have been further strengthened to safeguard customer interests and uphold service standards.

Thank you for your response. However, basic compliance such as ensuring the meter starts at zero should not require video evidence or public escalation for action to be taken. If CCTV could not initially identify the transaction, it raises concerns about monitoring effectiveness. We expect transparent findings and concrete preventive measures to ensure such incidents do not recur. Customer trust is built on accountability, not regret statements.

This is happening across India. Asked for 500 refuel. He did 200 first then enquired if it was 500. Then refuelled 100. @IndianOilcl mathematics

It's the customer who is stupid. One of the first basic things you ask and check before the fuel is added is to check zero, and the person filling the tank has to get it confirmed. We live in a densly populated country with limited resources.

Corruption is the hidden inflation, and inflation increases cost of living and with income not increasing and taxes not coming down, corruption is the way to go. It’s s vicious cycle.
