1/2 an explanation. Cost of living incorporates 2 factors: prices and wages. It’s really about how many hrs someone must work to pay for “x”. Prices rapidly increased from 2021-2023 but if salaries had doubled during that time, few would be saying the cost of living is 20% higher

'not normal at all' can i say something without making every one mad? migrants receive subsidized income, and so for them this is not an issue at all just you and your family

My grandfather said "when I was a boy, a loaf of bread cost a nickel. But I didn't have a nickel". This graph alone is worse than useless, it is misleading. Instead, compare how many hours of labor are required to fill your gas tank now vs. 20 years ago and you might be surprised
