Costco is the blueprint

Most people do not want to be a boss or a CEO, they want a steady job with a steady income. That is the American worker. A good decent job with a decent wage and stability. A simple life. Our problem; billionaire owned monopolies own our government.

So true. In Europe, workers make a living wage and get several weeks of vacation….and prices are normal. Here in the U.S., wages went stagnant in the 80s. Executives that used to make 2-3 times their average employee now make 900 times their average employee. It’s purely a corporate greed issue.

I'm a Costco member primarily because of the way they treat their people & the many reasons this lady has talked about. This discussion is making head to the one in my area to get a hot dog 🌭

…. All of a sudden gas will be over 4$ a gallon Sorry, that just happens if you start a war with Iran for no reason

Dick's Drive In pays its employees $20 an hour

We drive an hour to go to Costco twice a month instead of Sam’s 15 minutes away.

Walmart did have all those benefits & good pay, then Sam died. Corporate greed took over almost immediately & cut bonus program, capped pay rates, changed insurance to unaffordable plans while corp profits skyrocketed.

Without corporate greed there wouldn't be any democratic socialists. If you want the root cause of how capitalism will fail in the US, corporate greed is it. If they don't fix the wealth gap people will demand socialism, that's just how people are, and they will vote for it.

My goodness. She’s right. Companies want to pretend that turnover doesn’t cost them a dime when it’s a major expense. Employee experience, longevity and knowledge of important. Way to go, Costco.

Welcome to Costco. I love you.

Don't get why its so hard for these greedy companies to realize if people can live comfortably and afford more/not live paycheck to paycheck, People will spend more. Crazy concept i know.

The difference is she realizes reinvesting in your people works but the overlords want to hoard the money

I used to work at Costco and knew three or four people who made that much money but desperately wanted a different job and couldn’t find anything that would pay them the same. Costco employees also get time and a half every Sunday. Money is good but they hated their jobs.

those employees can afford to care for their families versus workers at sam’s club where they are working but don’t make enough to survive and need taxpayer supports like food stamps, medicaid and rental assistance.

Profit sharing should also be required of companies as well. This would inspire employees to be honest and hardworking if knew there was a cut for them. Stock options aren’t enough.

In America it’s almost impossible ever since Ford Vs Dodge. It’s set the precedent for “share holder value”..but Costco probably has a good board that let pay raises and good benefits pass. She’s not wrong, it’s just half the picture

Not a lot of people know this, but the US actually has an overproduction of milk. And it's because the US government still has a policy in place in which they will pay for the extra milk produced. I think it was the 50s this policy was put in place and never removed.

She knows what she's talking about. Most people that comment on minimum wage etc have never owned a business and have no clue how it works in real life, they only repeat what greedy corps spout.

Blueprint for what?

If we need to purchase an item we go to Costco first. I also like that they sued this administration over the tariffs and gave them the middle finger on DEI. Stood on business.

Shop at Costco. We need more big business to run like this. Everyone wins when workers are treated this was. Thank you @Costco

@ChangedaworldC

Ai slop

it turns me off when ads pretend to not be ads

@NotHoodlum After hearing that? I totally agree

Sounds like a reason to get rid of the minimum wage altogether.

So is California.

10 dollar co-pay if they remember to bill me

Go to costcos instead of Sam’s is what she said at the end

This is AI. It doesn't mean that the words spoken are not true ... but the person speaking is not a former Republican/Business Owner as claimed.

Buc ees too..

Lowering copays have nothing to due with how healthy someone is - taking your health seriously does not require doctors visits. Most people who dont go to the doctor and doesnt have money are unhealthy but its not because they are not going for regular checkups.

Is she on coke or something? Why is she talking so fast?
