Huh what's that doing there?

It only works for his delicate video. Those are immediately clanking together over any real bump.

Huh, yesh. Instead of a spring coil we should use something that weighs five times more AND a spring coil. I should get my engineering degree.

My fat ass would Break the laws of physics on that thing lol. 😂

Too much weight to be practical, but I like the concept.

Pretty retarded!

Magnetic suspension and dampening definitely work: GM has had MagneRide for decades now and has licesensed the tech out to other companies for years. From a fundemental standpoint, he’s on the right track, but to fully evolve it, he’d need electronics and energy to vary the dampening rates to adjust for load, terrain, rebound, etc.

No matter how many times I watch this I feel like there's no way he could make it

This buyer offered 50,000 bitcoin on a $14mil property in 2015. That bitcoin is worth more than $4.3 billion right now...

The fluctuating stresses and strains to the structural supports will result in metal fatigue.

No thats not how physics works

He could have just sawed a horse in half, and saved half the cost and time.

Will be smooth until it will not... a security rubber join in the middle will help a bit. Fun project with probably poor results

Just ignore the spring

Corvette has had it +20 years, it is called the F55 Magnetic Ride and now Ferrari has it too. I love the option.

But now his speakers are ruined.

What if a metal unexpectedly sticks to it?

Actually, in the full video he shows that it doesn’t work. The magnets can’t support his weight. To film the magnets “working,” there’s a spring between the magnets. He even tests with stronger magnets, and it still doesn’t work. Here is the full video:

Smart kid. That would be one very smooth shock absorber.

Not sure how much improvement would occur but would be interesting for an e bike to take that movement and convert it to electricity to help recharge your batteries.

For any average weight person for that bike size, those little magnets would instantly collapse. Interesting thought, but not at all practical.

Better to use a magnetorheological fluid in a cylinder and use the magnets to adjust the rigidity and viscosity of the fluid and just use a spring inside with adjustable spring compression. You cannot adjust anything here and the magnets will hit each other in hard bumps. Maybe put some rubber bumpers between them so they do not hit each other.

Are we going to ignore the spring installed below the magnets?

Even the video you stole this from said this thing sucked, dude was just curious.

Who's compensating for lateral movements?

Literally two decade old tech.

Loss of frame rigidity, the rear wheel is only held by one point. Unusable on hills or steep winding descents

PRESALE STARTS TOMORROW JUST GOT A MESSAGE FROM PAMAX 🤙 DM ME YOUR EMAIL PLEASE I JUST GOT ASKED FOR EMAILS OF MY PEEPS ON X

Great, now we are going to have a bunch of dwebs parting out classic JBL speakers their parents and grandparents had to get the Alnico magnets out of them. The future sucks.

be sure you have your new $2000 iPhone in your pocket while you ride that around.

Such goyslop

Could it work @grok?

The concept definitely works, but that bike is structurally degraded to the point of uselessness. Try riding that thing around it’ll be in pieces in a week.
