He’s gonna be taken alot higher than the Mr Irrelevant spot, he’s gonna be surprisingly high

The Wire — your go-to for every personnel move in college football. Are you keeping up?

No. He has very little ability to make off schedule plays. Can’t be a statue in the NFL and succeed.

He’s a good QB but Purdy is significantly faster and has escapability that McCord doesn’t

Oddly, I think McCord will be the best QB of this class in 10 years. First, he's going to go to a stable team late in the 2nd round or early in the 3rd. Second, he can make every single NFL throw. 3rd, he's smart. He can pick up a playback and understand it.

We’re at that point in NFL draft season where people have to drum up day 3 QB’s as the next “less than 1% probability that they turn into a good one, but eff it for hot takes” content in a very down year for the position.

this comparison coming out of college is an insult to mccord....and they don't even play the same way...purdy is little scat qb and an eh arm... mccord is a bigger pocket passer and that can make any throw...whether mccord is as successful in nfl as Purdy still remains to be seen

I mean I think his arm is absolutely special. He may not throw it like Anthony Richardson but he’s extremely accurate like if the receiver is open the ball WILL get to them.
