I'm not saying there won't be a substantial loading of my drawers. I'm not saying I'm looking for this encounter. I'm saying ol' boy here had ample opportunity to get more shots on target if he'd not been clumsily backing away, and at the very least LOOKED DOWN HIS SIGHTS when firing.

His hit that slowed the bear was luck, he hit the bears paw. Should have locked in and squeezed at center body.

That happened several years ago up in B.C. Canada. The bear was minding his business near the guys house and the guy decides leave his house and make the bear upset. If the guy would have stayed in his house the bear wouldn't be walking around with shotgun pellets in his eye (s) , head and body.

People need to watch the onslaught of videos like this when they give a 'shot placement' lesson. All of that goes out the window when you are in danger.

There should have been no hesitation nor delay in followed up shots till it stopped moving. Make your shots count.
