This game is not a "must win" or the most important on the schedule. In fact, it's the LEAST important game on the schedule! We won't even remember this game in like a month (in terms of how we view this team)!

Idc if they are different I care how many wins they get. Morale victory time is over.

It is and it isn’t. This is still “the year before the year.” They need to show improvement. How many wins that requires depends a lot on what the losses look like

Not for me. I’m over all the morale victories. We need results. Idc what it looks like they better get six wins. Tired of lying to ourselves like bad football will magically get better. If they don’t win Sunday, they are going 1-7.

Must be nice to have a crystal ball! This is the NFL. How we view every team in the league is gonna change a lot in the next 6 weeks.

This team is absolutely not going from losing to the Jets week 1 to being something we’re proud of six weeks after. That’s a fantasy.

Right, because we’ve never seen a team start slow under a new head coach and get progressively better as the season goes on. Good point! I also have never watched the NFL before!

You say progressively better, I said something we will be proud of. I’m not saying they won’t get better, I’m saying losing to the jets shows they are too far off to improve to an acceptable level. I’m not at the extreme you’re trying to pretend I am.

But no it doesn’t, lol it’s not so definitively black and white. Football is a weird game. Teams win games they should lose and lose games they should win every weekend. It’s an oddly shaped ball that bounces in weird ways. It’s their first game playing together as a new team with a new staff. This will be the single biggest learning experience they have as a group at any point in Saleh’s tenure. They could lose to the Jets and turn around and beat the Eagles and I would not be surprised at all. They could also lose to the Jets and go on to be terrible. It’s an unpredictable league. How else do you explain the Patriots losing to the team that ended up with the first overall pick in the first game of Vrabel’s tenure with a second-year QB and a new OC and a lot of newly acquired free agents (wow, sounds familiar!) and then going on to make the Super Bowl? Losing to the Jets in Week 1 quite literally proves nothing about this Titans team, just as beating the Jets would prove nothing.

No coach is gonna tell his team or the media it’s a must win in week 1

Huh? The entire mantra out of the coaches and players this week is how important it is to start the season off with a win. The point of this clip isn’t that Saleh said it’s not a must-win. It’s that Saleh said what I’ve been saying, this is the worst they should be all season.
