The PMF helped launch both of our journeys in public service and has helped generations of young leaders serve this country. But Trump is trying to end the program—which has been a vital pipeline for federal service. We need our best and brightest in public service, and we’re going to make sure PMF is protected in law for generations to come!

As part of our VIP Summer Visit Series, we welcomed Chief Judge Jeb Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, U.S. District Judge Casey Cooper, and Michael Barry, new Dean of AU’s Washington College of Law. We are deeply honored that His Royal Highness Sir Jude Mike Mudoma, the Umukuuka of Bugisu and Cultural Leader of the Bamasaaba through Inzu Ya Masaba, has blessed and endorsed our National Campaign: Expose the Corrupt in Local Government. Today, we are in Bugisu to expose corruption in local government and strengthen accountability in public service. Following a successful Day One campaign in Mbale District, our determination is even stronger. We are committed to cleaning up Bugisu and ensuring that public resources benefit the people they are meant to serve. The directive by H.E. President Yoweri K Museveni to eliminate corruption, together with the clear instructions from my Chairman, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, to stamp out corruption in local government, will bear fruit. Our campaign is restoring accountability, protecting public resources, and ensuring that every shilling allocated to serve Ugandans reaches its intended beneficiaries. We remain steadfast in this mission until corruption is defeated and service delivery is transformed across the country. Next stop: Bulambuli District. Corruption must end. Accountability must prevail.

WATCH] On behalf of the African National Congress, I want to state that we a country of over 60 million. There are many people who come to our country and many come to our country to contribute to the wealth of our country and its progress. Many contribute positively in our country. There are people in our country who have taken it upon themselves to do things which the vast majority do not condone and this must not paint South Africans as xenophobic. Indeed we do have a challenge of illegal immigration in South Africa and it’s not a problem unique to South Africa. There are many country’s affected by this. South Africa is a signatory of the Geneva Convention and we must deal with this challenge within the perimeters of the law. We can’t deal with it with hatred. That is why government has adopted a program of action to deal with this particular challenge which the President has made a public announcement. We have called for law enforcement and calmness and follow the government’s Action Plan on dealing with illegal immigration. We have made it very clear as the ANC, we cannot and should not be associated with anything that amounts to hate crimes. In this particular instance the majority of South Africans are people of Ubuntu and humanity. Because we too would not be free without the solidarity and assistance of country’s such as Mozambique in the fight against apartheid. Many people sacrificed such as Samora Machel the President of Mozambique and many combatants died here fighting against apartheid. #ANCinMozambique #ANCatWORK
