Country music getting popular would be a good thing if country music actually promoted our values… but it doesn’t right now… it’s the perfect example of how we aren’t able to conserve anything… we let the libs take everything

The reason is easy. Music has died. Country music is overly simplistic repetitive slop just like pop music and rap. There's no creativity or complexity in popular music these days. People just want the same three chords over and over again pumped out with overly compressed tracksthst lack any neuance to which someone with minimal musical skills and the vocabulary of a 5th grader sings the same uninspired drivel as everyone else. Music has become lazy, tastes have gone with it and Country music fits.

The only problem is country music doesn't sound anything like actual country music anymore. It just more bland, corporate, color by numbers recycled, pop, slop.

I've been listening to country music long before it became popular. I've now come across people I know who only 5 years ago said they hated country music are now listening to it.
