Cover 2 Man & Why it Needs a Nerf 🛠️ Yesterday I mentioned that I think C2 Man needs tuning in both Madden 25 & CFB25. The examples in this video demonstrate why I feel that way.

The players clearly don't play to their ratings That's a foundational level issue

I don’t understand how most of you content creators make YouTube videos or videos period on how to beat man coverage and then come on here complaining about it I have not play madden since madden 19 the way to beat man coverage was motion slants routes and Zig routes same 💩

I'm complaining about shade underneath man. I think it's too oppressive for no good reason. Casuals have no idea what's going on and why their WRs can't get loose.

He’s destroying him because of his inside leverage! With all the offensive cheese we have to face and with zones playing like pop warner kids! You’re complaining about one defense that actually gives a defender a chance. lol 😂 yall can’t be serious

That makes no sense. So if I lined up against Tee Higgins in press on his inside shoulder I'd destroy him too? Lol it's ridiculous how crazy the C2 press animations are. He somehow takes away both inside & outside routes. That part needs to change.

I agree it sucks but how likely is it they do anything about it? (Thought the best point you made was about the run defense - it should be very susceptible to runoffs)

Hopefully they have a look at it at least. Yeah the run-offs are necessary because without them they just end up with a wall of defenders at the LOS who just need to shed.

It’s that shade underneath that’s allowing the receiver win his routes. Almost like a bait. I run this defense 99.7% of the time and all I hear is “I thought I had him beat or I threw a bad ball” it’s the illusion. + I play with Arkansas 4 Jammer abilities at CB

He's in trail technique I understand how it works but he should not be easily taking both inside/outside leverage. That's bad for the game.

Man coverage just needs to come down to the individual ratings of the involved WR & DB period, there should be no such thing of a “man beater” unless it’s a design pick/rub route imo.
