🔥 What Iran has achieved in this war is something no one could have imagined before it began. 👏 Today, 🇺🇸 US Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln has left the war theater. I still remember when 🇺🇸 Pete Hegseth said that the US had the world’s strongest Navy and would destroy Iran within just a few days. Fueled by that confidence, they deployed two aircraft carriers around Iran — the first was 🇺🇸 USS Gerald R. Ford, and the second was 🇺🇸 USS Abraham Lincoln. USS Gerald R. Ford left the theater long ago after a laundry fire, and now today USS Abraham Lincoln has also left. Now another aircraft carrier — USS George Washington — is coming. My grandmother was a witness to this madness. On May 7, 1945, despite the surrender, German soldiers fired into a crowd of Dutch people celebrating on Dam Square in Amsterdam, who were waiting for Canadian troops to arrive. My grandmother is somewhere in these few reels. She told me she was pulled to safety by an older gentleman. She witnessed the woman holding the baby carrier (shown in the footage) being hit by several bullets. She described that the woman “exploded” in front of her. She also remembers that she was close or behind the barrel organ 't Snotneusje, which can also be seen in this footage. You can also see the baby carrier in the video reels.

A Chinese J-15 Carrier-Based Multirole Fighter with the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), believed to have launched from a nearby aircraft carrier during a training exercise, crashed earlier today within Lingao County on Hainan Island in the South China Sea. The pilot was able to successfully eject, before being rescued by local residents; with the crash not reported to have caused any significant damage or casualties on the ground. Videos and pictures of the incident have quickly been removed from most Chinese social media.

Unfortunately, I noticed that CENTCOM released footage of the destruction of a historic fighter jet at the 3rd Tactical Fighter Base of the Iranian Air Force in Dezful. It was a decommissioned MiG-23BN of the Iraqi Air Force that had defected to Iran in 1991 and I was trying to have it transferred to the Iranian Air Force Museum in Tehran in 2012. However, the aircraft remained in Hamedan following to my arrest by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, and unfortunately this historic aircraft was destroyed today. This MiG-23BN defected to Iran in January 1991 during Operation Desert Storm, and it was one of the over ten MiG-23s that defected to Iran. Unfortunately, almost all of them were scrapped in Dezful and Hamedan and their wreckage were moved to Tehran, and the last one, which was supposed to be displayed in the museum, was finally destroyed by a U.S. Air Force MQ-9A drone in Hamedan. I also noticed that all F-4s of Shahrokhi Air Base had already been evacuated from the base to protect them from the threat of U.S. airstrikes. Therefore, what remained there was this historic MiG-23BN of the Iraqi Air Force, which was parked in one of the hardened aircraft shelters. I never managed to photograph it myself but I have a photo of this in my archive and I will release it. #OperationLionsRoar #OperationEpicFury

The lukewarm reaction from the audience to Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Remake is so sad. This was once one of the most celebrated IPs in gaming! The 3rd in particular was huge! There's now a clear fog over gaming from the 90s (and before) among so many people involved in the industry. It's a natural thing of course. Time doesn't stop. But still...this moment was depressing. #Gamescom #ONL

I see a lot of people sharing stories so I think I might as well. The first SpaceX launch I watched live was Jason 3 on January 17 2016. The fifth landing attempt and the first one following the first successful RTLS a month before. We didn't get this video until the day after launch. This was the point where I really got interested into spaceflight as a whole. I have highly mixed feelings about the state of the company just over ten years later as they have gone public today but it's been one hell of a ride, that's for sure.

A Learjet 45XR aircraft (VT-SSK) crashed near Baramati airport (Non-towered airport), Maharashtra of India on approach, this morning at around 8:45 am. The aircraft was carrying five people including a ruling party politician, two staff members, and two crew members when it crashed upon landing. Authorities have confirmed there were no survivors at the scene. An eyewitness said: "I am in shock, can’t say much but this is what I have seen: The plane was headed towards the runway but it fell down a 100 feet before it." #aircraft #aviation

Gun camera footage from Captain Ralph Parr in an F-86 Sabre as he scores the final and possibly most controversial aerial victory of the Korean War F-86 Sabre gun camera compilation: Shortly after noon on July 27th 1953, U.S. Air Force Captain Ralph S. Parr Jr. with the 335th Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing was flying an escort mission near Chunggang-jin is his F-86F Sabre (51-12959) when spotted an unidentified transport aircraft traveling unescorted. Parr reportedly made several passes and identified the plane as a North Korean Ilyushin Il-12. Although later that same day the newly signed armistice was to bring an end to hostilities in the Korean War, he decided to attack the aircraft regardless. A long burst from his battery of six .50 caliber machine guns with a combined rate of fire of over 100 rounds per second ripped through the Ilyushin and brought it down in flames. It would later transpire that the aircraft he targeted was in fact a Soviet Navy transport traveling through North Korean airspace from Port Arthur to Vladivostok. The plane came down on Chinese soil four kilometers from Mao-erh-shan and all 21 people on board, six crew and fifteen passengers, were killed. Judging by the concentration of fire on the fuselage visible in the gun camera footage, it's likely many were dead before the Ilyusin hit the ground. There are suggestions that even if the legitimacy and timing of the act was questionable, Parr was keen to make the kill as he already had nine victories under his belt and needed one more to achieve the status of double ace. Some Russian sources suggest an even more sinister motive, that the aircraft was deliberately targeted either because it was suspected that an important prisoner of war was being transferred to the Soviet Union or because the aircraft was supposed to be carrying top officials of the Soviet Pacific Fleet. A monument to commemorate the event was erected in Vladivostok.

Tyler Spry: There’s a video that’s gone around on the Internet when I was writing with V, James Essien and Sean Foreman. That video is not the making of any of the songs that made the album, but it was one of the most fun days I had in the studio with the guys. We were just jumping up and down, singing the songs. I think that it was one of the freest days we had in the studio, creatively. So I do hope that song gets to see the light of day.
